The printed Word IS a wellspring of life to those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, whose source is the Spirit of God. To those who do not seek righteousness within the printed Word, it is a “well of opinion” from which they are the source.

A Sobering Thought: Did you see where Billy Graham's daughter was being interviewed on the Early Show sometime back about the September 11th terrorist attack and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said "I believe that God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman that He is, I believe that He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand that He leave us alone?"

While Ms. Graham's comments are emotionally affecting, suggesting that the USA bring church and state closer together is not only unconstitutional but also un-Christian. Americans would not be OK with a mandate to post the writings of the Tao Te Ching in courthouses or to have all school students kneel toward Mecca a few times each day. Matthew 7:1: "All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye so to them..." If you don't want others' religions forced onto you, don't force it onto others.
While a agree that having what would amount to a "theocracy" is unconstitutional and I support the constitution. I see however the trend to wipe God out of everything. I think that there can be some sort of compromise that can be beneficial to all.
